Therefore, any domain administrator can manage public folders — for calendars, contacts, tasks, and notes — making them more versatile for domain users. In addition, public folders can sync to mobile and desktop clients such as Microsoft Outlook and eM Client.

When coupled with industry standard protocols such as MAPI and EWS, SmarterMail offers Microsoft Outlook and eM Client users the ability to delegate access to various features to another user, such as a personal assistant.

Using delegation, it’s possible to allow another user access to your inbox, calendars, tasks, contacts, and notes. A user can set the permission level for each delegated feature, including the ability for the delegate to send emails “on behalf of” you, or even respond to calendar invites.
